Warm heart

Dear Sir,

The Medieval Ice Age is thought to have lasted from around 1300 to the end of the eighteenth century. It was characterised by crop failures,  devastating droughts, floods and storms.  People were killed in the street by giant hailstones.   Deadly famine and disease outbreaks led to some areas of Europe being depopulated.  Social unrest was widespread.  Advancing glaciers wiped out towns and farmland.
Some climate change skeptics believe that the  temperature increase that has been observed over the last 200 years represents the re-establishment of an equable climate.  Whatever the cause you would have to agree that,  at this point in time,  global warming beats the hell out of global cooling.
